#4 Lenoir County man to wed unsuspecting woman

by Jon Dawson

Neuse News humorist Jon Dawson shares the news that one of his best friends is tying the knot, and questions his friend’s judgement in asking him to be the best man. Despite his reservations, Dawson takes his duties seriously and plans a bowling bachelor party as well as a reception toast for the ages.

The real difficulties for Dawson don’t begin until he contemplates the necessity of wearing a tuxedo for the wedding. Despite the lengthy list of injuries he anticipates from donning what he sees as a needlessly complicated garment, he has a successful fitting, and ends his column with some good natured ribbing directed at Neuse News Editor Bryan Hanks and a heartfelt congratulations to the groom-to-be.
