La Grange Spot Jam continues tonight with Dakota Blue

The annual La Grange Spot Jam concert series cranks back up on July 19 with Dakota Blue.

"The La Grange Spot Jam is a free summer concert series that began in September of 2016," said Tyrone Morgan of the La Grange Chamber of Commerce. "The main focus of the Spot Jam is to provide La Grange citizens and those of neighboring communities an opportunity to enjoy a free concert while also associating with people of all ages, races, and backgrounds."

Dakota Blue is an American country rock/southern rock band from Snow Hill, NC.  Their influences run the gamut from Pearl Jam and the Eagles to Waylon Jennings and Travis Tritt.  The band has performed throughout North Carolina both as a headliner and as support for Colt Ford, Mattie & Tae, Love and Theft among others.

During a Dakota Blue concert at a previous La Grange Spot Jam, the performance was filmed for a music video for their song "Emerald Isle". Fans of the band refer to themselves as "The Blue Crew".

The concert will take place at the La Grange Community Park on Railroad Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, while limited bleacher seating will be provided. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, beer, and water will be available for purchase at concession stands. All shows will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
