Isaac Parson, Kinston, basketball
Parson played a strong role in helping the Vikings go 3-1 last week. The junior had five points in a 69-65 win over North Lenoir on Jan. 22, but had 17 against Goldsboro a day later in a 76-62 victory followed by 10 against South Lenoir in a 69-44 win on Jan. 25. One day later, Parson had 13 points and seven assists in a 59-57 loss to New Hanover.

His gameday ritual: For home games, a trip to Bojangles and for road games, a shootaround at the Kinston Community Center
Anzaryia Cobb, Kinston, basketball
While playing four games last week, the Vikings won them all with Cobb playing a big role. The junior scored 17 in a 41-30 win over North Lenoir on Jan. 22, followed by 10 against Goldsboro in a 64-24 victory a day later, six against South Lenoir in a 52-21 victory on Jan. 25 and 10 as Kinston beat New Hanover 50-64 a day later.
