Absolutely great news from the market this week......RONNIE HANCHEY IS COMING BACK, after spending years recovering from the hurricanes that have plagued our area. We are so glad that he is able to return with shelled butter beans and peas, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, cucumbers and collards. Please come by and let Ronnie know you are glad he is back, and if you really want to make him happy, buy some of his delicious produce !

Saturday, October 19 - Kelly Stroud, Family and Consumer Sciences agent from the Lenoir County Cooperative Extension, will be with us to guide us in the preparation of the Eastern North Carolina's favorite leafy green....COLLARDS ! This should be interesting, as well as informative and tasty. SAMPLES WILL BE SERVED.

Saturday, October 19th - Breakfast on the Boat For the best breakfast in town that day, come out and support our neighbors as they raise money for the upkeep of the only full sized replica of a Confederate ironclad in the world.

Saturday, October 26th The Lenoir County SPCA will bring their booth to the front lawn of the Rick Holder Annex. They will have dogs dressed in Halloween costumes. Now you know that will be a heart-stealer!!!

Saturday, November 23rd
Vivian Howard and Leraine Howard Tolston share their cooking talents with us. They are so popular and always draw a crowd. We really appreciate their interest in our vendors and our market. Come down to thank them in person !

Calling all local artists!
Any local artists who are interested in exhibiting and selling on this day should email Pat at pljenki3@ncsu.edu.. We will have the usual tent set up for you, but we'd like to know who plans to show up!
