Greene Central defeated Eastern Wayne
In a nonconference matchup, the Rams picked up a 5-1 win over the Warriors Thursday.
Alan Rubio led Greene Central (11-2) with two goals, winners of six straight. Eduardo Gonzalez, Jose Morquecho and Brayan Ledezma all had goals while Felipe Hinojosa added two assists.
Greene Central faces Washington Monday on the road.

North Lenoir defeated Washington
LA GRANGE — The Hawks picked up a 25-15, 25-5, 22-25, 25-21 win over Washington Thursday.
Paytyn Jones led North Lenoir (10-6, 5-3) with 13 kills with Reena Parris adding 10. Kennedy Sullivan had 20 service points and five aces in the second set, helping the Hawks with the margin there.
The Hawks take on Havelock at home Monday.
Bethel Christian falls to Jacksonville Christian
The Trojans took the first two sets, but couldn’t keep momentum in a 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 11-15 decision.
Laura Fulcher led BCA (6-4) with 10 kills and three service aces, Johanna Banks had 18 assists, and Kelly Suggs and Jessi Dawson added three service aces each.
Arendell Parrott gets past Saint Mary’s
RALEIGH — The Patriots picked up a 25-14, 25-9, 25-11 win over St. Mary’s Thursday on the road.
Alli Grant Avery led the way with 16 kills for APA (16-3) with Mackenzie Pope adding 21 assists. The Patriots face Grace Christian Tuesday.

Greene Central caps off undefeated regular season
SNOW HILL — The Rams defeated Ayden-Grifton 9-0 to cap off a 16-0 regular-season campaign and go into Tuesday’s Eastern Carolina 2A Conference tournament with plenty of momentum.
Greene Central secured its 26th consecutive conference championship and is currently ranked as the No. 1 NCHSAA 2A tennis according to the N.C. High School Tennis Association Coaches Poll.
Tuesday’s tournament starts at 10 a.m. at Greene Central.
