Kinston Police investigate shooting near W. Vernon McDonald's

According to a press release from the Kinston Police Department, on Dec. 1 shortly after 5 PM, members of the Kinston Police Department responded to the report of a subject that had been shot near 110 W. Vernon Avenue, Kinston N.C. Upon arrival officers located a 16 year old male victim suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UNC Lenoir for treatment.

The Kinston Police Department places the highest priority on investigating crimes of violence perpetrated in our city. We will investigate such cases with no compromise for crime, and continue to seek assistance from the community we proudly serve.
