LCPS students from Technology Student Association clubs at two schools won eight awards, including three first-place prizes, at the NCTSA Eastern Conference regional competition in Goldsboro on Friday.

South Lenoir TSA paced the parade of awards with seven and the Tech Bowl team from Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School added an eighth award. It was South Lenoir’s first trip to the regional event, which attracted middle and high school TSA’s from counties east of Guilford.

“I could not be prouder of our TSA students and am particularly proud of South Lenoir,” Amy Jones, LCPS’s director of high school education/CTE, said. “This would be an outstanding showing for an established chapter and the fact that it was their first time speaks volumes about the excellence of the program.”
