Active shooter exercise to be held at Seymour Johnson AFB

GOLDSBORO — Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will be conducting an active shooter exercise Wednesday afternoon. They will be working with local first responders and Wayne Memorial Hospital in a joint effort response to the exercise.

This will test the 4th Fighter Wing’s ability to notify personnel, both on and off base, of an incident in real time. Members may experience traffic delays with increased presence of armed security forces members and other first responders during the exercise.

Exercises ensure Seymour Johnson AFB Airmen can effectively complete the mission of the 4th Fighter Wing and are fully prepared to respond in the event of a real world disturbance.
