A generous contribution from the Barnhardt Foundation (Kinston Fibers) requested that $3,500 of its contribution be given to the Hugo Volunteer Fire Department. Kinston Fibers (a Barnhardt manufacturer) has its Kenta Warehouse located in the Hugo fire district. Tony Renfroe, plant manager of Kinston Fibers, said "we are grateful for the quick response and effective leadership from the department and just wanted to show them a token of our appreciation during an event such as Hurricane Florence."  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Lenoir Committee of 100, please contact lenoircountyc100@gmail.com or call 252-527-1963.
