North Lenoir High School upcoming school year dates and information

NORTH LENOIR HIGH SCHOOL is looking forward to helping its students get off to a great start for the 2019-2020 school year. Student schedules will be available for pick up on Monday, August 5. Students wanting a schedule change must contact their school counselor or stop by NLHS during the hours designated below. For students dually enrolled in LCC courses, the deadline for changes is Friday, August 16. Following this date, if a student drops an LCC course, he/she will be charged for the cost of the textbook. Please note that all high school course schedule change requests for both semesters must be done by Friday, August 23 for the rest of the school year.

NLHS 9th GRADE ORIENTATION 

NLHS will host a 9th Grade Orientation for rising 9th grade students only on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. Please call NLHS at (252) 527-9184 if you have any questions.

NLHS OPEN HOUSE

NLHS will host their annual open house on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. New student schedules and changed schedules not already received may be picked up then.

LCC ORIENTATION NIGHT 

Parents and all 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in LCC Courses through the Career & College Promise Program are required to attend LCC Orientation Night on Monday, August 26 at 6:00 p.m. in NLHS’s auditorium.

NLHS ENROLLMENT FOR NEW STUDENTS 

New students should make sure they are withdrawn and obtain an unofficial transcript from their previous school. Please call NLHS at (252) 527-9184 to schedule an appointment. Parent/Legal Guardian must attend the appointment with the student to be enrolled. Students/parents should plan to bring the following information to the appointment:

School Documents:

    • Withdrawal Form from previous school

    • Unofficial High School Transcript or 8th Grade Report Card

Personal Documents:

    • Birth Certificate copy

    • Social Security Card copy

    • Immunization Record copy

    • TWO proofs of residency in North Lenoir’s district (examples include: receipts or bills for rent, mortgage, utilities, home phone, cable, water, property tax, homeowner’s insurance, bank statements, car registration) 

    • Parent Legal Picture ID

    • Court Ordered Custody Papers

NLHS WITHDRAWING OR TRANSFERRING STUDENTS
