Lions Water Adventure will host a special Community Day event on Monday, Aug. 12, extending the summer season by one day and offering special discounts to visitors.

“We really just wanted to give back to the community,” said Katie Maddux, marketing and communications director for Swim Club Management Group, the organization that operates the water park. “They’ve been so supportive this entire season and we’ve seen so many of them out there, we wanted to thank them and give them these discounts.”

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Lions Water Adventure will be offering $5 tickets and 50 percent off any Lions Water Adventure branded merchandise.

“Our goal for Community Day is to give back to the community with this unique, special event before everyone gets busy getting ready to go back to school,” Dee Anna Clarke, Swim Club Management Group Chief Financial Officer, said. “Community Day is going to be a fun day for the entire family and we look forward to seeing everyone there!”

Community Day will be the last weekday the park is open for the season, before it begins its end of season weekend hours. Starting Aug. 13 and ending on Labor Day, Lions Water Adventure will be open Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30-5:30 p.m.

“It’s a big thank you to all the members of the community for a great, successful season,” Maddux said.
