LCC September/October Continuing Education offerings

  • Learn how to create Apps for your iPhone or iPad with Apple Swift! This is an online class that starts September 30 and ends January 27.  Cost is $185. Tuition assistance is available for this class.

  • Master Basic Excel starts October 16 on Wednesdays 6-9 p.m. for eight weeks. Cost $75.

  • QuickBooks, an accounting software program, will be offered September 24, 6-9 p.m., on Tuesdays for eight weeks.  Cost is $75.

  • Introduction to Microsoft Office will be offered Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m. starting October 16. Cost is $75.

  • Upcoming Horticulture workshops include: Dish & Fairy Gardens; Harvesting and Storage; Walkways, Patios and Walls; Homeopathic Pest Control; Home Composting Methods; and Holiday Centerpieces. Each class is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-9 p.m. or 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Cost is only $30! 

  • Do you want to become a Substitute Teacher in the public school system? The next Effective Teacher Training classes will be September 16-25 and October 7-16 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for two weeks, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. An online class is also offered, starting October 1.  Cost is $75.

  • Teachers, do you need your technology CEU’s? Digital Teacher Training will be offered online to help you around your school schedule. It runs every month for four weeks with the next classes starting September 16 and October 7.  Cost is $75.

  • Upcoming Tuesday Night Technology (TNT) Workshops for September include: Cybersecurity, Web Design with HTML5, iPhones, Routine Computer Maintenance, Intro to Programming the Blocky Way, Excel Pivot Tables, Get started with MacBook, and Cell Phone Photography. These workshops run for one night only on Tuesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m. and the cost is $25. 

  • Everything Apple will start September 24 and will run on Tuesdays for eight weeks from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $75. Students learn how to use any Apple products such as the Mac, MacBook, iPad, iPhone and iPod. Bring your own equipment to class.

  • There is a Career Ready Lab available for online job search and applications and resume assistance. The registration fee is waived if you are unemployed or underemployed. Lab hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
