An auction notification from Wester Auction & Realty, based in Smithfield, NC, announces an auction at the old Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar location on US-70 in Kinston because Smithfield’s Chicken and BBQ has purchased the building for a new location.

Next to Chick-fil-A and directly in front of Lowe’s Home Improvement, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar closed abruptly in 2018 with a note that said, “effective October 1, 2018, the Applebee’s at 4483 HWY 70 West is closed. We regret any inconvenience it has caused our valued guests.”
