Trenton native advances to second round of NBC’s The Titan Games
Teacher and coach Will Sutton, a native of Trenton, will appear on NBC’s sports competition reality show The Titan Games for a second time on Monday, July 20 at 8 p.m.
Sutton advanced to the second round of the competition after his first appearance, which aired the previous week and marked the start of the Eastern Region’s competition.
During the competition, Sutton faced off against another potential Titan on a series of physical challenges, eventually beating the other competitor for a chance to take on “Mount Olympus,” where he would go head to head against UFC Champion Tyron Woodley.
Sutton advanced quickly through the challenging course to take the title of Titan and go on to the second round of the competition.
As a native of Trenton and an agriculture teacher and JV basketball coach at Croatan High School, Sutton is proud to represent his small town.
“Small towns have strong people, mentally and physically, and I hope that I show that Trenton has some of the strongest,” he said.
The town is also rallying around Sutton, with “Go Will” signs posted around the town and viewing parties scheduled to cheer him on. The viewing party for Sutton’s second appearance will be held at Mac Daddy’s in Cape Carteret, starting at 6:30 p.m.
