State Director for USDA Rural Development and the North Carolina Insurance Commissioner toured various sites the USDA-RD assisted in funding, in the states Down East Region today.

USDA-RD State Director Robert Hosford and NCIC Mike Causey toured the Renu Life Center’s construction site in the city of Goldsboro and Trenton Fire Department building that is under construction. 

USDA-RD is providing Renu a 90 percent guarantee on a $3.9 million loan from Southern Bank to the Renu Life Center. 

Trenton’s Fire Department took delivery of a USDA-RD Community Facilities Grant of $690,000 during the visit. 

Hosford and Causey along with other city and state officials toured the Renu construction site from 12 to 1 p.m. and the Trenton Fire Department from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
