Help wanted: Water Bottling Technician at The Adams School of Dentistry

The Adams School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking to hire a Water Bottling Technician to work in Kinston, NC.

The initial appointment period is three years, full-time. As Water Bottling Technician, you will be botting drinking water and managing inventory in the waterBEST research study of children’s dental health. Working other research team members, you will deliver bottled water to households and monitor children’s dental health.

The goal is to determine if fluoride in the bottled water helps to prevent dental cavities. Your responsibilities include collecting and transporting bulk water supplies; packaging water into 5-gallon bottles; rigorous attention to safety and quality control in packaging water; attention to detail in managing inventory, including use of computer inventory control; lifting and delivering 5-gallon water bottles to study participants’ homes and collecting empty bottles; accurate recording of dispatch and return information using the study’s data management system.

You will need a NC Driver’s License. You will meet with the members of the research team at least weekly to discuss progress of the study. Members of the research study team will provide your training in the clinical procedures that you will perform.

There will be occasional travel to the study’s research offices at UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC. Steel toed shoes are required in warehouse.

Some evening and weekend work will be needed. The salary range is $35,100 - $42,900, with benefits.
