FiA encourage one another to become 1% better with each workout

Females in Action (FiA), the female response to the F3 movement, is a community of women whose mission is to make one another stronger in all areas of their lives. With organized free, peer-led workouts held outdoors in all weather conditions, the focus is on their bodies, minds, and hearts.

“I tell everyone, you can work out anywhere, but you will not find the comradery support and fellowship that you get with FiA,” said Kelly Putnum, FiA name Warrior.

The Lenoir FiA group launched in November 2020 and holds workouts at two locations. One location is at “The Woodshed” at Tanglewood Church on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 5:00 am. The other one is “The BattleGround #1 and #2” which is at Pearson Park and the Farmers Market holds workouts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5:30 pm and Saturdays at 8:15 am.

“F3 brought us all here because of our husbands, we found so much more. If it has changed our lives. It changed the way we did things, the way we treated people, changed the way we live,” said Rebecca Brown, FiA name Queen Bee.

In addition to the workouts, the Lenoir FiA group gets together for book clubs, career and family discussions groups, and faith interactions. They give their time and resources to the community and invest in each other by joining together for coffee, weekday lunches, and FiA socials.

“FiA did change my life, it gave me new friends and gave me an outlet for the stress that we carry in this crazy world that we live in. It is a family affair for us,” said Nikki Lewis, FiA name Captain Camo.

Like F3, the women of FiA each are assigned FiA nicknames that are chosen for them by the group at their first visit. Information on FiA can be found at https://fianation.com and https://www.facebook.com/ENCLenoir.
