ORIGINAL STORY

The 2021 Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant sponsored by Hugo Fire and Rescue will be held March 20, 2021 at Kinston Lenoir County Performing Arts Center. This is a sold out event. Reid Taylor will serve as director for the 42nd year. Mandy Odom is the choreographer and Diane Howard serves as Pageant Chairperson.

Miss Neuse 2020 Kailey Powell will relinquish her title March 20, 2021 at Kinston-Lenoir County Performing Arts Center. Kailey is the daughter of Bryan and Jennifer Powell. She is a Junior at Lenoir County Early College.

Louie Bowen will emcee the program and fifteen young ladies will be competing in the following areas of competition: Interview which counts 30%, Creative Expression 15%, Talent 40% and Gown 15%. Scholarship monies in the amount of $6000 will be awarded.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the program will begin at 7:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Hugo Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
