Carolina Greens is a non-profit with mission to grow, collect, and sell various greens for the benefit of local soup kitchens and food banks of Eastern, North Carolina. We started the 1 Square Yard challenge which challenges people of all ages to devote 1 square yard of their own space to grow nutritious vegetables for the local soup kitchens. We start the seedlings for this challenge within our greenhouse to then be distributed to anyone who wants to join. Carolina Greens also grows various micro- greens and pea shoots in which all profits go towards our mission. At this fundraising event, we will have seedlings available for people to join our challenge and microgreens to buy. $1 baby basil plants will also be sold. Lastly, there will be a $1 raffle held for a chance to win 6oz of your choice of micro-greens

Killen Harper will be our guest this week. She is shown here inside her greenhouse, where
she raises all kinds of greens. Read the story below and be sure to enter her raffle .
