Daniel Dennie, aged 16, middle linebacker, and upcoming senior at Greene Central will be going to James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to play in an All-American Bowl. The Bowl will be in January 2022.

“I am extremely excited to be able to go and play in the All-American Bowl in Tampa, this is my chance to go to play football at the college level,” said Dennie.

Dennie is excited to meet famous coaches that could help him improve his game. He wants to be able to play ball at the next level. He wants to go to a good college with a robotic engineering program and wants to play in the NFL with the Cowboys.

“This past season, I received All-Conference,” said Dennie. “And now, being selected to play in the All-American Bowl in Tampa completes my second goal.”

First and foremost, he thanks God for providing him with the talent that brought him this far. He also gives thanks to his mother, family, and Blue-Grey Football for helping him reach his goals.

“Last year on Christmas Eve, we did a vision board and I put down my goals, 1 was being an ALL-Conference player and the other was being All-American,” said Dennie.

Dennie is grateful to Chappriel Pitt from Pop Warner Football, Coach Jason Wilson, and the football coaching staff of Greene Central High School, Brian Manuel, at Tru Fit Gym in Kinston, for strength training, and Jamiyan Phillips for speed and agility training.

“He’s so humble,” said Dennie’s mother Shanee Dennie. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime. This is just the beginning of where we see him in the future.”

Shanee Dennie has a Facebook Fundraising group to help with the expenses. https://www.facebook.com/donate/329652075380123/336963491315648/.
