Edwards Dentures and Implants, currently located at 107 East Vernon Avenue, will be relocating. Dr. Wiley (Ren) Edwards will be moving his practice to 3700 W. Vernon Ave, the former site of the Kinstonian Restaurant.

Dr. Edwards has strong ties to the area. His grandfather, Dr. George Edwards Jr. founded a local denture clinic in 1975. His Aunt, Dr. Robin Edwards had a practice, Affordable Dentures on Hwy 70, where he worked for a year and a half before deciding the timing was right to open his own practice.

“This has been a fantastic spot, I’m grateful for the Seaforths for allowing us the opportunity to utilize this space for growth in the beginning,” said Dr. Edwards.

When the practice began to outgrow the current facility, he began looking for other options. Dr. Edwards saw that the former location of the Kinstonian Restaurant was available and purchased it in order to build a new facility there.

“We’re starting to grow and reach capacity,” said Dr. Edwards. “We don’t want people to wait booked out three-four weeks in advance.”

The building was demolished a few weeks ago and the rubble is actively being removed from the site. The current plan is to bring five feet of dirt to get the lot above flood level. The previous owners reported that in the past flood waters had reached four feet.

The goal for construction to finish is May of 2022. Once the building is complete Dr. Edwards doesn’t want to rush the progress and expects to be in by the summer of 2022.

“We want to continue the legacy of my grandfather of providing quality same day service that people can afford and that they should expect from a dental care provider,” said Dr. Edwards.
