Ms. Charmaine Hansel, a senior nursing student at LCC is the 2021 recipient of both the Stackhouse Memorial Nursing Scholarship and the Cindy A. Jones Nursing Memorial Scholarship through the Lenoir Hospital Foundation. Both scholarships provide financial assistance to individuals actively enrolled in a nursing program and who have completed an application and then presented for review and selection by the UNC Lenoir nursing selection committee.   

Shown in the picture is Hansel in the middle accepting the scholarship from the twin sons, Jared and Ryan, of Cindy A. Jones who at the time of her death in 2004 was an RN in the Ambulatory Care Unit. Also in the picture are Chris Jones, Gary Alphin, Natalie Smith, and Constance Hengel.
