A tradition begun in 2018 by five GEC  students  continues to create excitement on this special say.  The secret group have officially rebranded themselves this year as PVT:  Project Valen Tine.  Completely student-driven and executed by students and working undercover,  a specially crafted Valentine card is received by each student and staff member.    Creating  over 190 valentines cards is a daunting undertaking as no two cards are alike. Each card is uniquely decorated with a special recognition of each recipient’s talents, positive attributes, or description of a special personality trait of the individual. Each message  acknowledges something special about the recipient. A commonly heard statement as the recipient reads his/her card is how did they know that about me.  And, “Who’s it from?” Also students could be seen throughout the day re-reading these special cards.  Again, the creators of the cards remain anonymous.  Being their first year at GEC,  the most surprised group were the freshmen class. As a result, the special delivered Valentine cards make the students and staff at GEC feel the love on Valentine's Day.
