A longtime provider of allergy and asthma relief is closing its doors on February 17, 2022. Seaboard Allergy and Asthma Clinic, located at 905 N. Queen Street in Kinston has been serving Kinston and surrounding counties for over 30 years.

Patients were given a list of doctors they can choose from in the surrounding areas, including Greenville, Goldsboro, and Jacksonville for future care.

“They become your family when you work here,” said Rebecca Davenport, a Seaboard Allergy and Asthma clinic employee. “I’ve been here almost 10 years. In the small office you become family. That’s what I like, I like that smallness.”

Dr. Thornton Hood started the practice and he retired in march 1987. Dr. Leonor Carrasco continued the mission of serving Eastern North Carolina since April 1967. In January of 1999, Dr. Hanan Kirollos joined Dr. Carrasco.

Dr. Kirollos is a member in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and American Medical Association. Dr. Leonor C. Carrasco is also a member in the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

“I love my doctors,” said Davenport. “I love the small office that allows you to get to know your patients very well.”

Both Dr. Kirollos and Dr. Carrasco are retiring.
