Middle Man Liquidators opens in Pink Hill, still doing FB Lives
Middle Man Liquidators was started in March 2021 by Dale and Lisa Best as an idea to do Facebook Lives to sell products online. Their business grew fast and within a couple of months, they outgrew the storage building in their front yard. By July of that same year, they opened their first store on Highway 55 in the Sandy Bottom area.
“We continued to do our live sales on Facebook and our customer base continued to grow. In the last few months, we started looking for another location,” said Lisa Best.
In late March, the Bests opened another location in Pink Hill and closed the other to repurpose the space. Middle Man Liquidators offer name brand items at discounted prices. They buy pallets of liquidated items from big box stores and sell at discounted prices. These items can be overstocks, damaged packaging, shelf pulls and returns.
“Our discounts start at 40% off retail price! We also do five daily blowout items where we drop the price of five items,” said Best.
The Bests have been together for almost 30 years and have four children, including their daughter-in-law and recently became grandparents to their first grandson. Dale Best has worked over 27 years as a meat department manager in a few local grocery stores, but in December 2021 he retired to help with Middle Man Liquidators full time. Currently, they operate the store themselves, along with occasional help from their adult children.
Middle Man Liquidators is at 104 S. Kinston Blvd in Pink Hill. Their hours of operation are tentative, and are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm and on Saturday 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Facebook lives are every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm. Any stars earned on their Facebook lives go back into the community to help struggling families at Christmas.
