The following restaurant inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:
Captain’s Corner

Observations:
Facility did not have employee health policy in place.
Hot smoked sausage stored at room temperature.
Chicken salad in reach-in was not date marked.
No thermometers available.
Hot dog pan is rusty; not smooth and easily cleanable.
Mop sink is not draining.
Some areas of floor are not easily cleanable.

Observations:
Manager did not demonstrate duties according to NC Food Code.
PIC did not have Servsafe.
Facility did not have vomit and diarrhea procedures for clean-up.
Flies in kitchen.
Sanitizer in wiping cloth bucket was dirty.
Dishes were stacked wet.
Inside and outside of equipment, shelving, and dry food bins need additional cleaning.
Floors need to be re-grouted in some areas.

Clean utensils on drainboard stored with metal hamburger press which is causing rusty water to pull on drainboard.
Cutting boards stored propped on 3-comp sink behind faucet.
Some food not stored in correct temperatures.
