Jones County Hunters Association’s 2nd Annual Big Buck Bash
The Jones County Hunters Association’s 2nd Annual Big Buck Bash will be held this weekend, October 27-28, at the Trenton Fairgrounds. This event benefits the community in many ways. The JCHA supports local schools with a Coats for Kids Drive at Christmas. They were able to deliver many gift bags full of coats to Jones County Schools last December. The JCHA supports students by awarding scholarships, and sponsors local schools in competitions like the North Carolina Hunter Safety Tournaments. In the past the JCHA has helped the Jones Senior Hunter Safety Team offset expenses to travel to New Mexico and Pennsylvania to represent North Carolina in the NRA Youth Hunter Education Tournaments.
The Big Buck Bash provides an opportunity to fellowship and make memories hunting with family and friends. Supporting the tradition of hunting is the primary objective of the Hunter's Association. President of the JCHA, Mike Sutton states, “There’s nothing like being able to hunt and enjoy the outdoors with my children and grandchildren, carrying on the tradition many of us grew up enjoying with our families.”
Come out and enjoy food, music, and fellowship.
Registration for the event ends Thursday, October 26th at 6:30pm. Contact Mike Sutton for more information at mikesuttonffa@yahoo.com
