Help wanted: Lenoir County Health Department - Public Health Educator

As a member of the Lenoir County Health Department, you can make an impact! The Health Department is seeking candidates for a Public Health Educator I within the Health programs. Candidates in this class will assist in planning and implementing a program community health education designed to assist individuals and groups in recognizing and solving health problems through the proper selections and use of educational methods. Work involves participating in workshops and conferences to define and promote community health needs. Employees in this classification serve as a resource to patients and community partners.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited four-year college with a BS in Health Education and/or

• Graduate from an accredited four-year college and completion of one year on-the-job training as a Public Health Educator

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License

• Pass a background check
