Sheriff thanks community for outpouring of support for county's children
The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Snow Angels (SOSA) would like to say a huge “thank you” to the residents of this county and the amazing sponsors of the program.
SOSA was a huge success this year; Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said he is humbled by the outpouring of love and support the community has shown for the children of this county.
“I am truly humbled and thankful for the generosity of the residents of Lenoir County,” Rogers said. “I would also like to thank our administration staff, who are certainly angels to our community.
“A special thanks goes to Jaime Hill for her hard work in organizing SOSA.”
Lenoir County Department of Social Services Director Jeff Harrison and his staff are excited to serve the children and families of Lenoir County with the wonderful toys they received from SOSA on Friday.
SOSA would like to thank the sponsors of the program this year, including the Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce, The Paint Station, Tractor Supply, School Nutrition Association and the many residents who donated.
The program was so successful the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office heard what SOSA was doing and chose Lenoir County as its Operation Santa Drop this year! The SOSA organizers are truly humbled and thankful for the generosity of the OCSO.
Sheriff Rogers encourages residents to stop by the Sheriff’s Office to visit the Memory and Honor Tree before Christmas. There are more than 40 angels for which SOSA is thankful.
