Janice Faye Westbrook, 82, of Deep Run passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Healthcare in Kinston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Hicky” Westbrook; parents, Ben Rouse Odom and Jessie Benson Williams; stepdad, James Albert Williams; brother, Allen Williams.

Janice was a free spirit and had a passion and love for others.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was known for raising her grandkids on sweet tea, and always had a cup at hand.

She had a love for life, music, and dancing. She enjoyed crafting, traveling, painting, drawing, and collecting in her free time.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lee Anne Hardy and husband Greg, Deanne Westbrook Ocampo (Dennis); grandchildren, Kristin Stroud and husband Thomas, Logan Hardy and wife Rachel, Caitlyn Ocampo, and Caleb Ocampo (Juan); great-grandchildren, Kelsi, Wade, Sutton, and Parker; sister, Sarah Williams Felgner; brothers, Mike Williams, and Jim Tom Williams; several cousins; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Richard Parker officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Westview Cemetery.
