On February 3, 2023, members of the Kinston Police Department's VCAT unit and the NC SBI, tracked and located a wanted fugitive out of Greensboro, NC. Jeremiah Washington was wanted for 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Felonious Restraint, & Assault on a Female. Washington was located at an apartment in Simon Bright. Washington surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody. He was placed in the LC jail without bond.
