Suspect in multiple Lenoir County convenience store larcenies arrested
A man who is suspected of committing multiple larcenies at two Speedway convenience stores in Lenoir County on four different dates in February and March has been arrested and is in custody in Greene County on separate charges.
After viewing the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office request for assistance from the community, Douglas Suggs, 39, was identified and taken into custody by officers with the Kinston Police Department.
Warrants were obtained by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office against Suggs for:
Two counts of felony larceny
Two counts of obtaining property by false pretense
Two counts of felony conspiracy
Two counts of misdemeanor larceny
Two counts of misdemeanor conspiracy
KPD arrested and charged Suggs with separate charges Thursday. Suggs also had outstanding warrants in Greene County and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office transported him to Snow Hill, where he is currently in custody and awaiting the charges that will be pressed against him from the LCSO.
“I appreciate the great assistance from our friends at the Kinston Police Department in this investigation,” Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said.
