· Tip411 is used in over 2,000 communities and puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of community members of all ages.

· It allows residents to not only submit tips, but access agency alerts, our social media channels, important information, and more to help fight crime from the palm of their hand with our new, custom-branded Kinston PD app from Tip411.

· Smartphone users can download this free app to submit tips from their iPhone or Android.

· The new Kinston PD app and anonymous text system enables the public to share an anonymous tip with police and lets officers respond back to create an anonymous two-way conversation.

· TheKinston PDapp puts a powerful new tool into the hands of community members of all ages to help fight crime and protect their community.

· Members of the public without a smartphone can simply text their tip to 847411 and begin their message with keyword KPDTIP to reach our officers.

· Residents are encouraged to download the Kinston PD app for free via the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store right now so the app will be on their phones, ready to help connect them with police when they have information they need to share.
