Scotty Randall Stanley, 69, of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Archie Stanley and Ruth Waller Stanley; brothers, Ebron Stanley, John Stanley, and Tommy Stanley, and sisters, Patricia Humphrey and Kathy Stanley.

Scotty was a loving husband of 39 years and a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He retired from his position as meat market manager after over 45 years. He enjoyed fishing, mowing his yard, tinkering around, and watching the news. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila King Stanley, of the home; daughter, Ashley Stanley Holleman and husband, James, of Trenton; son, Patrick Scott Stanley and significant other, Candice Lynn Wheeler, of Trenton; grandchildren, Abbey and Aidan; sisters, Debbie Jarman and husband, Linwood, of Kinston, Dorothy Winn of LaGrange, Lori Ann Mercer and husband, Jimmy, of Deep Run, Rebecca Stevenson and husband, Bill, of Pink Hill, and Barbara Toteno of LaGrange; good friends, Buck Jones, Jesse Tucker, and Allen Heath, and many other special nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to thank Victor and Marcina Holleman for their special care and compassion towards Scotty.

Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
