Unbox Your Summer at Neuse Regional Libraries

See this content in the original post

Summer Reading is off to an incredible start! Locations across Neuse Regional Libraries are seeing record-breaking participation this year; after two weeks of registration we have 541 participants across all Neuse Regional Libraries locations.

If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry. Registration is open and still taking place at all Neuse Regional Libraries locations until Friday, July 14th (or while supplies last).

Every child between the ages of 5 and 12 who registers for the Summer Reading program receives a “Summer Out of the Box” challenge kit. Each kit contains all the materials needed to complete all 45 challenges for this program. Participants are welcome to complete the challenges at their own pace. For each challenge they complete, participants earn points for this year’s Grand Prize drawing. Participants also have the opportunity to earn additional entries by logging their reading minutes. If participants meet the 10 hour reading goal, they will receive 5 extra entries to the Grand Prize drawing.

Participants can log their reading minutes, as well as their challenge completions through the Readsquared app, which is available on all Android and Apple devices. Once downloaded, search for Neuse Regional Libraries and then register for the Summer Out of the Box Challenge specific to your library -GC for the Greene County Public Library, JC for any of the Jones County Public Libraries, KL for the Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library, LG for the La Grange Public Library, or PH for the Pink Hill Public Library).
