The following inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:

Olivia's Catering

110 E Caswell Street, Kinston

Date: 6/09

Score: 98.5

Observations:

Establishment lacking updated employee health policy.

Establishment lacking vomit and diarrhea plan.

Sinks within bathrooms missing employee hand washing signs.

Observed pests in prep area near prep sink floor drain.

Plumbing under prep sink joint loose and observed being held in place by pan.

Womens restroom trashcans uncovered.

Mops drying right side up.

Minute Man Food Mart

Observations:

Flies present in food service area.

No test strips for sanitizing could be located.

REV Food Service Third Base Stand

400 E Grainger Avenue, Kinston

Score: 98

Observations:

Hot dogs temped under 135F.

Employee observed without beard restraint.

Chili and cheese scoops held in water.

Prep counter cabinet and cold hold drawers under flat top visibly soiled.

Receptacle doors open/missing.

Fatbaby’s Country Cooking

Observations:

One container of slaw had incorrect date.

A few frozen turkeys were on the floor of the walk in freezer.

All food service staff need to wear effective hair restraints.

Faucet assembly at 3-comp sink was observed to be leaking and hot water handle stripped and not working.

Additional cleaning needed on all hand wash lavatories, refrigerator/freezer handles, inside these units, hood/filters, shelving at prep tables, steam wells in back, walls, ceilings, and floors.

Walls in 3-comp sink area and bathroom are moldy.
