The Lenoir County Board of Education recently issued a notice stating its intention to sell the property located at 500 Marcella Drive in Kinston, also known as the former Teachers Memorial School. The board plans to conduct the sale through the upset bid process inviting interested parties to submit their initial offers for purchase.

The property, which will be sold "as is," is being offered by the board under a special warranty deed. As per the notice, the board retains the right to reject any and all offers at any stage of the process. Interested individuals are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the procedures outlined in General Statutes, Chapter 160A, Article 12, or any relevant successor provisions.

"We hope to garnish interest from the public in the hopes of someone coming in with new ideas for the building," Assistant Superintendent Nicholas Harvey II stated. "We are excited to see what comes."

For further inquiries regarding the property, Nicholas E. Harvey II, Assistant Superintendent, can be contacted at 252-527-1109 or via email at nharvey@lenoir.k12.nc.us.
