See this content in the original post

Eastern NC continues to be under the threat for severe thunderstorms today. A slight risk (2 of 5) is in effect for all of ENC, though we are concerned that an Enhanced Risk of severe storms may evolve across parts of ENC later this afternoon into early evening.

KEY MESSAGES

Some sub-severe showers and storms will move through late morning into early afternoon, with a potential break after that.

Later afternoon into early evening, severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 75 mph, large hail, and a few tornadoes are possible.

This is an evolving weather event, so stay tuned for changes in threat severity and/or locations impacted.
