Dianne Jones Andrews Seeks Re-Election for Town Council in Greene County
Dianne Jones Andrews, a seasoned public servant with roles ranging from U.S. Congress to FEMA Congressional Officer, is up for re-election to the Snow Hill Town Commissioner board. Her community involvement also includes serving as the Director of a local food pantry.
Andrews is dedicated to enhancing both town and county infrastructure through active collaboration with local officials. "I work very hard with our local officials to assist and improve both county and town infrastructure," she stated.
Addressing the educational needs of Greene County, Andrews advocates for better teacher compensation, smaller student-to-teacher ratios, and fostering robust parent-teacher relationships.
For economic growth, Andrews sees a collective effort as the key. "In my opinion, we need to annex and draw more citizens into our town and all work together for the betterment of building a bigger and stronger town for our citizens," she said. "This will stimulate more people to shop local and more businesses to help the tax base grow."
Andrews commends the current state of public safety, attributing the effectiveness to educational initiatives by the police department and the role of neighborhood watch programs.
On the environmental front, Andrews champions recycling as an essential part of maintaining sustainability at the county level.
Ensuring transparency in her office is a priority for Andrews. She supports an open-door policy where residents can voice their concerns, stating, "I am always open for other people to voice their opinion; together we can make a difference. We have to listen to learn."
Andrews closes with a message for potential unity among the citizenry: "If people would all work together, regardless of age, race, and personal opinions, our world would be a better place."
With a campaign grounded in community improvement, educational advancement, and public safety, Dianne Jones Andrews aims to secure another term to continue her work on the Greene County Town Council.
