On October 26, 2024, at approximately 4:40 AM, officers from C-Squad responded to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim who reported that 36-year-old Jerry Cannon had assaulted her.

Officers detained Cannon at the scene and requested KPD’s Crime Lab and Investigations Division for further assistance.

The investigation led to Cannon being arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Forcible Rape, Assault With a Deadly Weapon, Simple Assault, and Injury to personal Property.
