Salary: $28.00 Hourly 

Industry Training Coordinator (Part-Time) 

The Industry Training Coordinator (Part-time) will plan, develop, implement, and manage strategies for the Business and Industry Division and interface with the College and community. This individual will build collaboration across curriculum and continuing education programs to assist with the development of industry training programs for various corporations.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution required; master's degree preferred 

·         Experience in the development and administration of instructional programs in a specialty field, educational institution, agency, or business 

·         Five years or more experience in promoting or marketing a product to business or industry

Working Conditions

·         Typical office environment 

·         Infrequently lifting and carrying items up to 10 lbs 

·         Infrequently twisting or bending at the waist or reaching overhead 

·         Infrequently traveling between buildings on campus, to other campuses, locally or out-of-town to attend meetings and conferences 

·         Frequently listening to and talking with students, faculty, and other staff members either in person or by phone

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The duties of the Industry Training Coordinator include, but are not limited to: 

·         Develop and implement comprehensive plans including timelines, goals, objectives, and benchmarks for the Business and Industry Division through the Customized Training Program and Occupation Extension (and other programs as necessary) 

·         Work with Regional Director of Customized Training and Dean of Business and Industry to submit training plans through Customized Training for eligible businesses and industries in the tri-county service area 

·         Work with Regional Director of Customized Training and Dean of Business and Industry to maintain budgets and surveys and promote training for plans/projects through Customized Training for eligible businesses and industries in the tri-county service area 

·         Work closely with local economic development officials to promote training opportunities 

·         Become an active member of various local economic development entities to include Committee of 100, Economic Development Commission, and the local Manufacturing Association 

·         Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of goals and objectives, policies and procedures, new courses, and in all supportive activities of the College 

·         Work with all state compliances for program and budget management and to secure grants for support of program participants when needed 

·         Develop a process of client satisfaction surveys and solicit feedback for further training needs 

·         Represent the College at local events to promote the College and services to the business community 

·         Develop industry segments to market targeted training 

·         Implement strategies to position the College as a “total business resource” in the community 

·         Monitor courses and instructors, and ensure that courses meet high quality standards and policy 

·         Coordinate the recruitment of instructors as needed, monitor and prepare course outlines, and maintain up-to-date information on instructional materials and techniques 

·         Ensure divisional compliance with standards and procedures 

·         Maintain community involvement to enhance the College's networking in the tri-county service area 

·         Research and develop plans for new course offerings to be presented to the Vice President of Instruction & Institutional Effectiveness or Dean of Business and Industry  

·         Ensure continuous revenue growth needed to meet long and short term goals by identifying new opportunities and serving current clients 

·         Perform other duties as assigned
