Help Wanted: Income Maintenance Caseworker III

As a member of the Department of Social Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for an Income Maintenance Caseworker III in the Child Welfare Division. The Income Maintenance Caseworker III position in the Foster Care & Adoptions Team will be responsible for ensuring that foster care payments and reimbursements are completed in a timely manner and accurately in order to maximize revenue. The position will be responsible for accurately completing the DSS-5120 and DSS-5120a in order to determine the correct Medicaid and funding eligibility for said foster children and reviews are done accurately and timely. As the SSBG and IV-E compliance coordinator, the worker will ensure that child welfare records are reviewed on a timely schedule to ensure cases are being billed accurately and case records are maintained correctly according to local, state and federal rules and policy pertaining to SSBG and IV-E funding.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of two years experience as an Income

Maintenance Caseworker

• Good mathematical skills and the ability to

communicate with clients and general public

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License

• Pass a criminal background check

• Must be of Good Moral Character

Hiring Salary based on level of Income Maintenance experience: $43,423-$59,859
