We’re finally here - Election Day!

As many people vented their frustrations about national, state, and local politics on social media this election (and I’m sure it’s not over, gahhhhhh), it’s common to see heated debates, complaints, and accusations aimed at politicians and the government. However, real change doesn’t come from being a keyboard warrior—it comes from taking action.

Four Ways to Get Involved

If you truly care about the direction of this country, there are four ways to make an impact: run for office, write a check, volunteer, and/or vote. These are not just ideas—they are actions that can create change. Whether you're upset with decisions at the national level or concerned about local leadership, you have the power to influence those outcomes.

For those who feel particularly passionate via your mobile devices about the direction of our policies, why not consider running for office next time? National and state elections may feel out of reach, but local positions are a great place to start.

And filing isn’t as difficult as you might think—sometimes, it only takes a small fee and the courage to put your name on the ballot. If the cost is holding you back, I’ve got $10 in my wallet right now and would happily loan it to you.

Next year you could run for City Council or Mayor. What say you?
