Two arrested in La Grange after complaint prompts investigation

An investigation of a resident’s complaint about suspicious behavior resulted in the arrest of two people on Rouse’s Path Road in La Grange by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Marlton Perry Davenport, 53, of Nashville, N.C., was arrested on an active warrant from Nash County for obtaining property under false pretenses and possession of stolen goods. He was also a probation/parole absconder from Nash County.

Davenport was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond for the charges.

Amber Bradshaw, 37, of La Grange was arrested for an absconder probation/parole warrant from Lenoir County. She was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under no bond.
