Just after midnight today, Lenoir County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 943 Sweet Amy Lane in La Grange in reference to a gunshot wound to a victim.

Upon arrival, deputies found 30-year-old Quinton Lee Gray lying unresponsive inside his residence. Gray had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LCSO investigators are actively working the case. Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said investigators believe this was a targeted shooting and that the public is safe.
