Preston Hunter announces retirement after 33 years of state service

After 33.5 years of dedicated service to the State of North Carolina, Preston Hunter, Executive Director of the North Carolina Global TransPark (NCGTP), will retire at the end of this year. Preston has served in various roles within the Department of Transportation while in state government.
Mr. Hunter shared, "Working alongside so many wonderful colleagues has been an honor, and I am grateful for the positive experiences I've had at the NCGTP. The decision to retire has not been easy, as I have greatly valued my time with this department.”
“I am particularly proud of what we've accomplished at the NCGTP, but the most significant achievement has been implementing and working with an outstanding team. I would also like to thank the NCGTP Board for their unwavering support over the past three years.”
Mr. Hunter thanked everyone for their support and collaboration over the years. “I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of the NCGTP.”
