A three-month narcotics investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of three La Grange residents on a myriad of drug charges.

On Wednesday, the LCSO’s Narcotics Unit concluded the investigation into the distribution of cocaine throughout the county. Arrest warrants were obtained for Michael Rashon Dawson, 37, of La Grange for:

· Four counts of possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine

· Five counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance

· Possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana

· Two counts of trafficking in cocaine

· Three counts of selling and/or delivering cocaine

LCSO narcotics unit and Street Crimes and Ready Response (SCARR) unit detectives went to the Groundnut Creek Drive area to serve the outstanding arrest warrants. When Dawson saw detectives approaching, he shut the door to his residence. However, detectives entered the residence and placed Dawson into custody for the above charges.

Detectives then gathered probable cause for a search warrant in plain view and executed the search warrant at the residence. When the search of the residence was complete, all occupants at the residence were placed into custody.

Dawson, along with Ahmad Redee Waters, 44, and Sherri Lyn Bryant, 46 — all of La Grange — received the following charges as a result of the search warrant:

· Possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana

· Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance

· Possession of drug paraphernalia

All three suspects received a secured bond.
