On Friday, March 15, 2024, the community of Snow Hill gathered to celebrate the expansion of Heritage Family Health and Wellness. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of a significant project supported by a $50,000 grant from the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA). This funding facilitated the relocation of Heritage Family Health and Wellness to a more spacious facility, aiming to enhance medical services for the residents of Greene County.

The event also saw remarks from prominent figures, including Buck Newton, a North Carolina Senator, and Chris Humphrey, a North Carolina House Representative. Their presence underscored the significance of the project for the local community and the broader region.

Over the next three years, Heritage Family Health and Wellness is set to create five new jobs and invest $210,000, contributing to Greene County's economic growth.

The ribbon-cutting event was a testament to the collaborative efforts between local businesses, government officials, and the community, marking a significant milestone in enhancing healthcare accessibility and economic development in Greene County.
