A Rocky Mount man and Kinston woman were arrested by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office for trafficking fentanyl last weekend.

On Saturday, April 6, Tykeim Randolph, 29, of Rocky Mount and Jasmine Mills, 23, of Kinston were stopped by a LCSO deputy. During the stop, deputies obtained probable cause for a search and located narcotics in the vehicle that tested positive as fentanyl.

Because of the quantity of narcotics seized from the search — the measured total weight of the pills was 7.22 grams and the total quantity was 18 pill dosage units — the pair were each charged with:

·       Trafficking Schedule I controlled substance for possession

·       Trafficking Schedule I controlled substance for transportation

·       Possession of Schedule VI controlled substance

·       Possession of drug paraphernalia

Mills was also charged with driving while impaired and turned over to the N.C. State Highway Patrol; Randolph was issued a citation for aiding and abetting DWI.

Randolph and Mills were issued secured bonds and confined in the Lenoir County Jail for the LCSO charges. Mills also received a secured bond from the Highway Patrol for the DWI charge.
