The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is an organization dedicated to honoring student achievement and excellence in career and technical education (CTE) fields. The mission of the National Technical Honor Society is to honor student achievement and excellence in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships, and enhance career opportunities for the members.

GCHS students prepare to be inducted into the GCHS National Technical Honor Society on April 11, 2024 in the Greene Central Gym.

The Green Central NTHS participates in various activities and events to support our chapter, school and community. These activities aim to enhance members' skills, expand their knowledge, and promote camaraderie among peers.

The National Technical Honor Society is guided by the following core values:

Skill: Promoting excellence in technical education and workforce development.

Honesty: Upholding integrity and ethical behavior in all endeavors.

Service: Serving others and making positive contributions to the community.

Responsibility: Taking ownership of one's actions and commitments.

Scholarship: Recognizing and celebrating academic achievement and lifelong learning.

The National Technical Honor Society provides a valuable opportunity for students to be recognized for their achievements in career and technical education, gain access to resources and support, and prepare for successful careers in their chosen fields. By promoting excellence, leadership, and service,

Halely Edwards, GCHS Special Populations coordinator shared that “NTHS helps to shape the future leaders and innovators of the workforce.”
